Affilations & Partnerships
“Look, I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for harvest.” (John 4:35)
“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Matthew 9:37–38)
At Rock Creek Baptist Church, we take these words of Jesus to heart. The need is great, the harvest is ready, and faithful laborers are few. That’s why we joyfully partner with like-minded churches and ministries — to labor together in the mission of making disciples of all nations. These partnerships are not merely institutional; they are gospel-driven expressions of shared conviction and cooperative obedience to Christ’s Great Commission.
We are affiliated with both the Southern Baptists of Texas Convention (SBTC) and the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). These relationships allow us to participate in a global network of churches unified around the inerrancy of Scripture, the centrality of Christ, and the mission of spreading the gospel. Through our giving, we support the Cooperative Program, which funds thousands of missionaries through the International Mission Board (IMB), educates future pastors and leaders through faithful seminaries, and advances church planting, evangelism, and disaster relief efforts throughout the world. Our involvement is not limited to financial support — we pray, serve, and go, trusting God to multiply these efforts for his glory.
In addition, we are an active member of the Pillar Network, a family of doctrinally aligned, missionally driven churches committed to planting and revitalizing gospel-centered churches. Pillar churches hold to historic Baptist convictions, Reformed soteriology, practice expositional preaching, elder-led congregationalism, and cooperate with a spirit of humility and theological clarity. Through Pillar, we engage in relationships with fellow pastors and churches who share our heartbeat for healthy church life and strategic mission — especially in strengthening existing churches and planting new ones in underserved areas.
These affiliations reflect our belief that local churches are called not to isolation, but to entrust themselves in love to Christ and to one another. By cooperating with other faithful churches, we extend our reach, deepen our faithfulness, and join in the great and joyful work of the harvest — trusting the Lord to raise up laborers and bring fruit that lasts.
In his high priestly prayer, Jesus asked the Father that His people “may all be one… so that the world may believe that you have sent me” (John 17:21). Partnerships help us live out that unity visibly. By working together across churches and regions in truth and love, we display to a watching world that our bond in Christ is real — deeper than preference or personality — and rooted in shared truth, sacrificial love, and eternal kingdom purpose. In a divided world, faithful cooperation among churches is a powerful witness to the reconciling grace of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
